Director Zack Snyder has again been accused of manipulating bots. This is stated in the investigation of the publication Rolling Stone.
It alleges that the filmmaker used bots to promote the director’s cut of Justice League. This happened in 2018, when the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut fan movement began to gain popularity on the Internet. It turned out that 13 percent of the accounts calling for the release of a director’s cut of the blockbuster were fake.
About 20 people involved in the creation of the Justice League said that Snyder personally controlled these manipulations. They compared him to the villain Lex Luthor.
In May, the director was accused of dishonest winning the Oscars — the cinematographer allegedly used bots to win. The Wrap referred to the Tweet Binder service and claimed that during the audience voting for the director’s films, for the most part, it was online bots that voted. Professor David Kirsch of the University of Maryland confirmed that the accounts of those who voted for Snyder do not really look like the pages of real people.
