Apple will change the system requirements of its new operating system. This is reported by MacRumors.
According to sources, Apple’s new OS will have stricter system requirements than iOS 15. Media journalists said that iOS 16 is likely to run on devices that have at least 3 gigabytes of RAM and an A10 processor.
The authors also disclosed smartphones, tablets and players that will not support iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. These include iPhone 7, iPod touch seventh generation, iPad Air 2, iPad sixth generation, iPad mini 4. In addition, an update to the new operating system will not receive the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus and the original iPhone SE.
In turn, the new generation OS will be available on the iPhone 7 Plus and newer Apple smartphones. The oldest tablets that will support iPadOS 16 will be the third-generation iPad Air, seventh-generation iPad, fifth-generation iPad mini, and first-generation iPad Pro.
The announcement of iOS 16 will take place on June 6, the first day of the WWDC 2022 event. In addition to the new operating system for smartphones, Apple should introduce iPadOS 16, macOS 13, tvOS 16 and watchOS 9.
